WHY WE ARE HERE AND WHERE WE'RE HEADED

WE EXIST TO SHARE THE LOVE, HOPE AND COMMUNITY FOUND IN CHRIST

At Minto Anglican Church we trust completely in the power and wisdom of God to bring about his glorious plans and purposes through the message of Jesus Christ crucified. So our Vision is not so much about what we can do for God, but about what God will do in and through us as we commit ourselves together into his hands to be part of his mission.

Our Vision is a way of expressing who we are as a church that belongs to Jesus and where we are going under his rule. As it expresses the gospel message this Vision gives us something to shape our life and focus our decision making.

Most of all, it’s our way of reflecting that as God’s people we have a mission: to make disciples of all nations as we go into the world.

OUR VISION

– Love, hope & community in Christ –

That Christ’s love would reach the lost through us, the Spirit’s power would unite us together in hope and that God’s word would transform the community around us, as we strive to see 300 adults with 100 kids and youth in our church on a Sunday in 10 years.

GATHER

Gathering together as a community in Christ around God’s word

Gathering the lost through sharing Jesus and inviting them to church

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the mighty deeds of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

GRAFT

Grafting people personally to Christ as Lord and Saviour

Grafting people into Christ’s community and connected to his church

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit–just as you were called to one hope at your calling.

GROW

Growing personally in faith, love and godliness

Growing others by serving them with the word of God

But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into him who is the head — Christ.

Giving our whole lives to Jesus in worship and obedience

Giving our time, resources and money in gospel partnership

From him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building up itself in love by the proper working of each individual part.

Going out into the community and across cultures with the love of Christ

Going to Sydney and the world through gospel partnership
