GROWTH GROUPS

DIGGING DEEPER INTO GOD'S WORD

MIDWEEK SMALL GROUPS

AT MINTO ANGLICAN WE BELIEVE THAT THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS ONE BEST LIVED IN COMMUNITY

Growth Groups at Minto Anglican are small groups of people who meet together weekly in people’s homes all around Macarthur region to study God’s word, pray together and care for one another under the leadership of mature Christians.

And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.

Hebrews 10.24-25

GROWING IN GOD'S WORD TOGETHER

Growth Groups are first and foremost for growing us in Christian maturity. This means we want to have a big emphasis on growing to be more like Christ as we sit under God’s word.

Equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into maturity with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.

Ephesians 4.12-13

PRAYING TOGETHER

As Christians we have the amazing privilege of a real relationship with God. Part of this relationship is being able to pray to our Father. Each week at our Growth Groups, we dedicate time to be praying together for each other, our church and the world.

Devote yourselves to prayer; stay alert in it with thanksgiving.

Colossians 4.2

CARING FOR EACH OTHER

Our Growth Groups are the first context for pastoral care at church. Our groups are committed to loving each other and growing together. We believe they are the best place to receive, as well as, to give, pastoral care.

God has put the body together, giving greater honour to the less honourable, so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other. So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

1 Corinthians 12.24-26
